The Project
In this 5 week project, we had to come up with a concept for a company and work on brand guidelines and additional interface screens.
My company, Bark & Bond, is a pet-sitting company in which all the interactions between the caregiver and pet are recorded and sent to the mobile device of the customer. This helps connect the pet owner with their pet no matter how far apart they may be, while also ensuring a level of reassurance that their pet is being properly cared for.
Design Direction
My goal when branding Bark & Bond was to focus on the core concept of trust, and I tried to convey that within all aspects of the website, mobile app, and branding guide. The colour palette consists of consumer-facing colours that are bright, eye-catching, and inviting. The primary typefaces are Frutiger Bold and Avenir, which when paired together, create a clean visual hierarchy.
The Website
The website consists of the home page for the Bark & Bond and the branding guide. The home page is a simple scrolling page that introduces you to the company and how it works. It 'allows' you to search and book your caregiver. The home page promotes the mobile app and also showcases reviews of the site from previous customers.
The branding guide for the Bark & Bond goes into detail about everything that makes up the company. You can find information about the the brands identity, including their brand story, mission statement, values, pillars, and colour palette. It has information about the logo such as different colour variations and how to use it. It also has the padding, measurements, and angles that make up the logo. The brand guide includes the business cards and additional brand visuals such as the logo use in stickers and on a luggage case.
